Born in São João del-Rei, Minas Gerais, Robson has performed in Brazil’s most important concert halls. In 2009, he graduated at the University of São Paulo (USP), where he received the I Olivier Toni Award. The following year, he studied under Matias de Oliveira Pinto in Germany. There, he obtained his certificate at the University of Münster in 2011, the same year he joined the Minas Gerais Philharmonic. From 2003 to 2009, he was Principal Cello of the Ribeirão Preto Symphony and teacher of the Music School of Sertãozinho. Robson has received a fellowship in Campos do Jordão Festival and has appeared in several others. With the Mercosur Youth Orchestra, he played at Sala São Paulo, Teatro Cólon in Buenos Aires (Argentina) and Montevideo (Uruguay). He was a member of the Quarteto Mineiro de Cordas, winner of the Chamber Music Contest of the Minas Gerais Federal University (UFMG). Today, Robson plays in the Horizonte Quartet, Belo Horizonte Trio and Villa-Lobos Trio.
